Runway Planner
Project your cash runway for 12 months based on current burn rate and adjustable scenarios.
Important disclaimer
The Runway Planner provides estimates based on assumptions you enter. Actual results will vary. This is not financial advice. Consult a financial professional for cash flow planning.
Setting up a projection
1. Open 'Runway Planner' from the Financial Tools group in the sidebar.
2. The planner auto-fills your current cash balance and burn rate from the Metrics Store. If this data is not available, enter it manually.
3. The 12-month projection chart updates in real time as you adjust inputs.
Creating scenarios
Click 'Add scenario' to model different futures. Common scenarios include:
Base case: current burn rate continues
Hiring plan: increased burn from planned hires
Revenue growth: projected MRR offsets burn
Fundraise: cash injection at a future date
Each scenario shows its own runway calculation and zero-cash date.
Adjusting variables
For each scenario, you can adjust: monthly burn rate, expected revenue growth rate, planned hires (with salary), and one-time expenses or cash inflows.
The chart overlays all scenarios so you can visually compare them.
