Milestone Tracker
Set, track, and manage company milestones with Kanban and timeline views.
Creating a milestone
1. Open 'Milestones' from the Metrics group in the sidebar.
2. Click 'Add milestone' in the top right.
3. Fill in: name, category (Product, Revenue, Fundraising, Team, Legal), target date, success metric (how you will know it is done), and optionally assign an owner from your team.
Kanban view
The default view is Kanban with four columns: Not Started, In Progress, Completed, and Blocked.
Drag milestone cards between columns to update their status. Cards show the name, category, target date, and owner.
Use the category filter above the board to show only milestones in a specific category.
Timeline view
Click the timeline icon in the toolbar to switch to a horizontal timeline view. Milestones appear as dots on a timeline, color-coded by status.
This view is useful for getting a big-picture view of your execution plan and spotting scheduling conflicts.
Linking milestones to KPIs
When editing a milestone, you can link it to a KPI from your Metrics Store (like 'Reach 100 customers' linked to the total customers field).
Linked milestones show progress based on your actual data. When the KPI target is met, the milestone auto-completes.
Stage-specific templates
When you create your first milestone, you will see an option to 'Load stage templates'. This pre-populates recommended milestones for your current company stage.
For example, MVP stage templates include: 'Ship MVP to first 10 users', 'Complete customer discovery interviews', and 'Define core metrics'.
