Platform Overview
Learn how UpgradIQ is organized, where to find each tool, and how to navigate the dashboard.
Your first login
After signing up, you will land on the Dashboard (your Command Center). This is your home base - it shows quick-action cards, your SESS score, upcoming milestones, and recent activity.
The left sidebar organizes all 22 modules into groups: Command, Strategy, Metrics, Capital, Financial Tools, and Sharing. Click any group header to expand or collapse it.
Navigating the sidebar
The sidebar is organized by workflow stage. Tools unlock based on your company stage (Idea, MVP, Launch, Traction, Fundraising, Scaling). A lock icon appears next to tools that are not yet available at your current stage.
At the top you will always see the Command group: your Company Brain and AI Copilot. These are available at every stage.
Below that, groups appear in the order you will typically need them: Strategy first, then Metrics and Operations, then Capital and Financial Tools as you approach fundraising.
Dashboard Command Center
The dashboard shows up to eight quick-action cards. Each card links to a common task like 'Add monthly metrics' or 'Upload a document'. Cards change based on your stage and what you have already completed.
The SESS score widget at the top right shows your startup evaluation score (0 - 1000) with a trend indicator. Click it to open the full Health Score breakdown.
Below the quick actions, you will see your upcoming milestones and recent activity feed.
Settings and account
Click the gear icon in the bottom-left of the sidebar to open Settings. Settings is organized into tabs: Profile (your personal info), Company (your Company Brain), Billing (subscription management), AI (API key configuration), and Notifications.
To manage team members, click 'Team' in the sidebar. You can invite new members, assign roles, and remove access from this page.
