Most builds die from
stopping, not from code
You do not need another task list. You need to still be building in week three. Momentum is the cockpit built for that one job, and it is the reason this is not just a catalog of ideas.
A streak that forgives you
Every other streak punishes the day you rest, so you start dreading the app and then you leave. Ours counts rest as rest. Thursday off does not erase your week, and the number you see is still an honest one.
It measures the only thing that matters: did you come back.
What actually kills a solo build
Nobody quits at the keyboard
Builds die on the evening you do not open the laptop. The code was never really the problem.
Guilt is a terrible engine
A streak that punishes a rest day makes you avoid the tool entirely. That is how tools get abandoned.
Small and honest beats big and vague
One phase this week, named, beats a plan to finally get serious.
One small, honest goal
Not a backlog. Three named things, sized to the evenings you actually have, drawn from the phase you are on. You can see the finish from here, and that is exactly why you keep going back to it each evening.
The night you stall, there is a path
Name the stall
The blocker library is written for the exact place this phase breaks, not generic advice.
Shrink the ask
The next action gets smaller until it is something you can actually do tonight, tired.
Reset the phase clean
If the code is tangled, reset just this phase and start it fresh, without losing the build.
No fake urgency, ever
Nothing here invents a deadline to scare you into opening the app. Every number you see is real, or it is not shown at all.
How we keep numbers honest- Never hereCountdown timers that reset when you reload

- Never hereA streak you lose because life happened
- Never here“Only 3 spots left” that is never true
Frequently asked
Does a rest day break my streak?
No. Rest days are counted as rest, not failure. The streak measures whether you came back, not whether you never stopped.
What if I disappear for a month?
Nothing is lost. Your phases, progress, and next action are exactly where you left them, and the streak restarts without judgement.
Is this just gamification?
No points, no confetti for nothing. Every marker here maps to real shipped work: a phase done, a boot that happened.
Will it email me constantly?
No. One weekly report, and the weekly idea only if you want it. Nagging is what makes people leave.
What counts as progress?
A phase you actually shipped. Not time logged, not tabs open. The only unit here is work that boots.
Does it compare me to other builders?
Never. Your numbers are private to you, and benchmarks come from market research and our own model, never from what other people are building.
Still building in week three
That is the whole promise. Pick an idea, and the cockpit keeps you moving to the finish.
